Loudspeaker performance, especially in
large venues, depends on accurate loud-
speaker placement and aiming. Safety
concerns and weather factors in outdoor
installations dictate that mounting systems
be secure and reliable.

The Problem:

PRECISE, SECURE AND EASY MOUNTING

A totally new “center point” mounting system
known as SuperSAM

was designed for the

Sx600. The mounting system attaches near
both the horizontal and vertical centers of
gravity on the speaker. SuperSAM tilts over
a 60-degree range of vertical motion (with
alignment holes in 5-degree increments) and
pans across 180-degrees of horizontal motion
for easy and precise aiming. SuperSAM was
designed for a safety factor greater than
construction industry standard 5:1 and, when
properly installed, will withstand significant
wind and ice loading.

The Sx600 Solution:

DESIGNED FOR INSTALLATIONS ANYWHERE

The Sx600 system is available in both a
conventional low-impedance system (model
Sx600PI), or in a constant voltage distributed
system, model Sx600PIX. The PIX model
includes an internal 600-watt line transformer
for operation on 70-, 100-, 140-, or 200-volt
distributed line systems. The constant voltage
option provides great flexibility when designing
long-line systems for large venues such as
stadiums, fairgrounds, or race tracks.

Weather-resistant

The Sx600 features a molded polymer enclosure
with multilayer stainless steel grille and
combination stainless steel/aluminum mounting
hardware for extreme weather performance.
The unique grille design protects the transducers
against rain, sprayed water, and dust according
to IEC 529 IP 44, and meets Mil Spec 810
for humidity, salt spray, UV radiation, and
extreme temperatures.
