USING YOUR GREAT BASIN FOOD DEHYDRATOR
-
Unpack your Electro Boss Great Basin Food Dehydrator.
-
Wash your trays and lids with warm water and soap. Wipe the base of the dehydrator with a dry or
damp cloth. Never submerse the base in water.
-
Be sure you plug the machine into a properly grounded dedicated outlet whose electrical output
matches the requirements of this machine and that you follow the safety instructions above.
-
Before first use, make sure to read these instructions carefully and in their entirety.
NOTE: You can change the position of the
trays if some items are drying better than
others. The trays closer to the drying
base will tend to dry faster.
-
Duration of drying depends on many variables: temperature, moisture, thickness, humidity and air
temperature, personal preference and the ripeness of the food product. Drying times are a suggestion
and you may find that your personal preference will require foods to be dried longer or shorter than
recommended times.
Packaging and Storing your Dehydrated Products
-
The number one goal of storing dried foods is to prevent moisture exposure. Store product in airtight
containers, glass jars and freezer bags. Always make sure the containers are clean and dry.
-
Once packaged, store your dried food containers in a cool, dark place.
-
Check dried foods after one week for moisture in the storage container. Moisture is a sign that the foods
were not dried long enough or the container is not air tight.
