CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
PRACTICAL ADVICE
- Do not place too much food in the frying basket.
- Do not add water to oil.
- Do not mix fresh oil with the old one.
- Do not mix different types of fats.
- Make sure the food you use is as dry as possible and remove frost from
deep-frozen products.
- When frying, do not lean over the lid of the deep fryer, in particular when the deep
fryer is open and full of hot fat.
- In case of any irregularities regarding the operation of the appliance, consult an
authorised Service Centre. Any repairs, including replacement of power cord, can
be carried out only by an authorised repair shop.
- Do not place the deep fryer in the vicinity of heat sources.
- If the deep fryer is not used very often, the oil can be kept in a separate container
in the fridge.
1. Fat container
The fat must be changed regulary, not only to achieve the best flavour but also to ensure
lightness of dishes. The nutrition value of the fried dishes depends largely on the quality of the
fat. Do not pour away the used fat into the sink. It is better to cool it down and throw away in
the rubbish bin. Before pouring away the fat and cleaning the container, remove the lid by
opening and releasing it from the hinges at the back wall of the body of the deep fryer. Wash
the container with hot water, washing-up liquid and a sponge. Do not use any scrubbing agents.
If the container is burnt, we recommend soaking it in water for about 30 min before washing.
Dry the container carefully before using.
The appliance must not be immersed in water.
4. Appliance body
The outside surfaces and the conductor should be cleaned with a moist cloth. Do not use any
scrubbing agents or sharp tools. Before putting the appliance away, coil the conductor at the
back.
2. Lid
.
Remove the lid (fig. 4) from the hinges of the appliance
body. Clean with a moist cloth with some washing-up
liquid. Dry the lid carefully before putting it back into
place.
3. Frying basket
Wash the frying basket with hot water, using a cloth and
washing-up liquid.
