In case of tamper violation, the alarm is caused regardless of system being armed or disarmed. There are 2 ways to detect tamper violation on EWD3:
• By tamper switch.
EWD3 comes equipped with a tamper switch intended for enclosure supervision. Once the enclosure of EWD3 is tampered, the
tamper switch will become triggered. By default, this action will be followed by alarm, resulting in SMS text message delivery and/or phone call to the
user. The SMS text message contains the violated tamper name.
• By wireless connection loss.
The wireless connection loss between EWD3 and ELDES alarm system leads to alarm. The system identifies this event
as a tamper violation and sends alarm by SMS text message and phone call to the user (-s) by default. The SMS text message contains the wireless
device model, wireless ID code and tamper name. The user will also be notified by SMS text message as soon as the wireless signal is restored.
The tamper will not operate if both wireless zones are disabled.
For more details on EWD3 zone and tamper configuration, please refer to ELDES configuration software’s documentation.
4. TEMPERATURE SENSOR
The device comes equipped with a temperature sensor allowing to monitor the temperature of the area surrounding EWD3 device. When using the device
paired with the alarm system, you may set the MIN and MAX temperature thresholds ranging from -20°C to +55°C (-4... +131°F) resulting in a notification
delivery to the listed user and/or PGM output action (turn ON/OFF; only on ESIM364 and ESIM384) once exceeded.
5. SHOCK SENSOR
EWD3 contains a built-in shock sensor (accelerometer) that detects the surface vibrations, such as drilling, knocking, hammering, of the location where the
device is installed. This feature allows to receive the alarm notification in accordance with one of the selected sensitivity levels:
SENSITIVITY LEVEL DETECTION PROXIMITY
Low
~0,5m (~1.6ft)
Medium
~1m (~3.3ft)
High
<2m (<~6.6ft)
