We congratulate you on acquiring your new Elcold appliance.
To obtain maximum benefit from your appliance, please read the following instructions thoroughly
and act accordingly.
This instruction manual covers Elcold MOBILUX coolers and freezers driven by 12 and 24 V DC
with and without internal batteries.
Warning
- The appliance must not be connected to the mains.
- The appliance must not be repaired by other than authorised service personnel.
- Always charge DC Akku appliances before use.
If these precautions are not followed, the warranty of the appliance will lapse.
Preface
The Elcold “DC Akku” MOBILUX series is built with an internal battery. The “DC Akku” MOBILUX
series can be used as a mobile unit or in areas with unstable power supply.
The “DC” MOBILUX series is suited for areas where 12 or 24 V DC is readily accessible.
The appliances can run at angles up to 15 degrees.
Before use
Unpack the appliance and check it is not damaged.
Transportation damages must be reported to the supplier within 24 hours.
Let the appliance rest for one hour before it is started or attached to the charger or power supply.
The interior of the freezer should be cleaned before use. Clean it with tepid water and mild
detergent (washing-up liquid). Dry thoroughly with a clean cloth. Do not use detergents that
contains chlorine or abrasive products on the inside of the appliance.
Start the appliance well before filling it with products. Check the temperature with a good glass
thermometer. Place the products in the cabinet when it has attained the required temperature.
Most frozen products should be stored at a temperature of -18
0
C. Measure the temperature at the
top of the cabinet in the same height as the top products.
Products must be colder than -18
0
C when they are placed in the freezer. Otherwise it will take a
long time for the product to reach the recommended storage temperature.
