SELF-ACTING MOVEMENT DETECTOR

STYLE: “TMR TL-100”

We are delighted that you have purchased this PIR detector. Please read these instructions before installation and retain for future
reference.

POSITIONING THE UNIT

When selecting the mounting position take into account the following points.
1.The sensor is designed for optimum performance when mounted 2.5 meters above ground level.
2.Avoid positioning close to trees or shrubs, which may cause false triggering during wet windy weather.
3.Avoid pointing at or positioning close to heat sources such as flu's or heat extraction units,

which may cause false triggering.

4.Avoid pointing at bright lights as unit will not function when you set LUX control level to dark.
5. Avoid mounting at strong electromagnetic disturbance, which may cause false triggering.
6.The sensor is most sensitive to movement across the detection area as opposed to directly towards or away from the unit .Position the

unit to point across flow areas.

FITTING THE UNIT (see diagram.1)

Before commencing any electrical work, ensure mains supply cables are isolated by switching off and removing the relevant fuse.
1 . Unscrew the screws

ķ

, remove the back plate and terminal block.

2 . Fitting the back plate on the fitting surface with screw

ĸ

  ( supplied ).

3 . Connecting the main power wires and loading wires to the terminal block ( see the relative symbols ), the wires must pass through the

rubber gasket.

4 . Re-fit the terminal block and screws

After finishing the fitting operation you can adjust the detection area and working state of PIR sensor

OPERATION MODE AND ADJUSTING (see diagram. 2 )

1 .When power on, the PIR detector enter into the “WARN-UP” periods (abort 40 seconds) , and then the PIR detector will change to the

AUTO MODE automatically. During the AUTO MODE. You can easy to carry out the Walk-Testing.

  WALK-TESTING

: Before walk-testing, please put the LUX KNOB and TIME KNOB to the “Walk-testing position”, Once the PIR sensor

receives a valid trigger signal ( such as movement human body ) within its detection area, the load ( such as lamp ) will be turned on for
a duration time, You will obtain the desired detection area by walking slowly.

2. Turn off the override switch for more than 3 minutes and then turn on again, the PIR detector will begin a new process for
“AUTO MODE”.
