IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS 

When using this appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following: 
1.  Read all instructions before operating appliance.

 

2.  Do  not  operate  the  appliance  with  a  damaged  power  cord  or  plug  or  after  the  appliance 

malfunctions, or it is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest 

authorized dealer or after-sales service centre for examination, repair or mechanical adjustment.   

3.  Do not use the appliance if the plug, the mains cord or other parts are damaged. 

4.  To protect against electric shock, do not immerse power cord, plug, or the product body of the 

appliance in water or any other liquids.   

5.  Unplug the plug from wall outlet when not in use.   

6.  Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight. 
7.  Do not operate the appliance for other than its intended use. 
8.  This appliance is for domestic use only. Do not use this appliance outdoor. 
9.  Never use any accessories or parts from others that ELBA does not specifically recommended. 
10. The hot steam will erupt when the appliance is working. Do not stay close to the hot steam to 

avoid scalding. Do not place anything  which is weak to hot surfaces on the appliance. Do not 
cover the hot steam hole with towel or any other things to prevent accident. 

11. Please clean the surface heating plate before cooking to ensure good contact with the stainless 

steel pot. 

12. When the appliance is working, do not take off the lid to avoid scalding. 
13. When the appliance is working, do not touch on the stainless steel pot and the glass lid to avoid 

scalding. 

14. When the cooking is finished, do no touch on the surface of the heating plate, because is still 

residue of heat. 

15. During cooking or after cooking, do not let the power cord or any other thing touch the heating 

plate to avoid accident. 

16. To  avoid  scalding,  if  you  want  to  take  off  the  lid  dur

ing  cooking,  please  press  “Keep 

Warm/Cancel” key and wait until the water stop boiling, then you may take off the lid. 

17. Do not cook without load or with overloaded food. Otherwise it will cause deformation of the pot 

and appliance.   

18. The ceramic pot and lid are fragile. Handle them with care. 
19. Press the button lightly to prevent damage the button. 
20. The content of the food loaded in the pot should not be exceeding the level indicator on the pot. 

Otherwise it will cause damage and malfunction of the appliance. 

21. Do not carry the appliance during operation. 
22. Never immerse any part of the product body in water or any other liquids not rinse it under the 

tap. Use only a moist cloth to clean the exterior product body. 

23. Should the product body become moist or wet, remove the plug from the wall outlet immediately. 
24. This  appliance  is  not  intended  for  used  by  person  (including  children)  with  reduced  physical, 

sensory  or  mental  capabilities,  or  lack  of  experience  and  knowledge,  unless  they  have  been 
given supervision or instruction concerning use of appliances by a person responsible for their 
safety. 

25. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.   
26. Close  supervision  is  necessary  when  your  appliance  is  being  used  near  children  or  infirm 

persons. 

27. Save these instructions for future reference.
