VIA!dvdj REMOTE CONTROL

The remote control supplied with the 

VIA!dvdj

 is a “Universal”

remote control.  This means that other devices,  such as a
television or amplifier, may be controlled using this remote
control.  When you have selected to control the television the

TV

 device button will light up each time you press a button and

when the Amp is selected the 

Amp

 button will light.

PAUSE button

Press the 

pause

 button to interrupt playback temporarily.

K

 

RECORD button

The 

record 

button is an action key - on the 

Changer Status

screen this button can be used to toggle the display between
the DVD description and the disc navigation keys.

STOP button

During playback the 

stop

 button halts playback on the

VIA!dvdj

.

H

 

REPEAT (CAPS) button

The 

repeat

 button has the following functions:

• During playback this button toggles the repeat play setting

on the 

VIA!dvdj

.

• In text entry mode this button can be used to toggle between

upper-case and lower-case letters.

If the TV device is selected this button switches the TV
between single digit and double digit channel selection.

ANGLE button

Some DVDs feature multiple camera angles which allow you to
view the picture from a different viewpoint.  Press the 

Angle

button to cycle between the available camera angles.

TOP MENU button

This button is used to display the top menu of the DVD.

The navigation buttons are used to move up, down, left or right
through the menu pages.

The

 button is an action key - pressing this key will

always return the touch panel and TV screen to the 

Main

Menu

.  Use this button if you wish to start a new operation.

CANCEL button

The 

cancel

 button is an action key - on some menu screens

this is used to cancel an operation which you no longer wish to
continue.  If the TV device is selected this button will hide text
services.

VOLUME buttons

The volume buttons can be used to increase or decrease the
volume of a TV or Amplifier.  When the 

VIA!dvdj

 is selected

these buttons have no effect.

O

 

MUTE button

If the TV or Amp device is selected, this button mutes the
volume of the TV/Amp.  When the 

VIA!dvdj

 is selected this

button has no effect.

TV button

Selects the TV as the device to be controlled.  For more
information on configuring this remote to control your television
