CONTROLS AND CONNECTIONS
VIA!dvdj REAR PANEL
IR INPUT JACK
The
IR Receiver
connection allows remote control information
to be carried from other devices directly into the
VIA!dvdj
CONTROLLER
The
Controller
port provides RS232 communications with
supported devices.
USB
Allows the
VIA!dvdj
to communicate with supported USB
devices.
ETHERNET
The
Ethernet
port can be used to connect the
VIA!dvdj
to a
high speed internet connection. It may also be used by
supported software applications to communicate with the
system. A shielded Ethernet cable should be used in
conjunction with this connection.
MODEM
The
Modem
port can be used to connect the
VIA!dvdj
to a
standard analog telephone line for internet access.
VGA
The
VGA
connector can be used to connect a VGA monitor or
suitable plasma screen for displaying the User Interface.
COMP VIDEO OUT
The
Comp Video Out
connector is used to send the
VIA!dvdj
’s video display to
VIA!
touch panels and televisions
throughout the home. You may need to switch the TV to the
relevant AUX input to display the picture.
S-VIDEO OUT
Connect the
S-Video Out
of the
VIA!dvdj
to the S-Video
inputer of a suitable TV to display the user interface. You may
need to switch the TV to the relevant AUX input to display the
picture.
DVD CHANGER CONTROLLER PORTS
The
RS232
connection of each
Controller Port
is used to
communicate with a DVD Changer; the
IR
connection is used
to transmit remote control information. For more information
see
Connecting your DVD Changers
on page X.
MAINS
Connect the supplied mains lead to this connector to provide
power to the unit.
