When using for the first time
Close the lid and let the gas burn at a LOW setting
for 15 minutes.
The smells from the treated surface are eliminated
by the high temperature.
Head distribution on the grill
As a result of the design of burner, the heat dis-
tribution is specified as follows
Notes for barbecue cooking
The gas barbecue is a multifunctional appliance.
With the hood closed, you can use your gas barbe-
cue like an oven.
• You don’t have to only barbecue meat, fish, ve-
getables and fruit, you can also cook them.
• With a closed hood, the temperature should not
be allowed to get too high. A low temperature res
-
ults in gentle cooking of the barbecue food.
• Monitor the temperature on the thermometer
and if necessary, adjust it.
• The following applies as a rule of thumb: If smoke
emerges from a closed hood, the temperature is
too high.
Care and Maintenance
The gas grill should be cleaned regularly between
uses, particularly after extended periods of storage.
Make sure that the gas grill and its components
have cooled down sufficiently before you perform
the cleaning. Do not expose the gas grill to mois
-
ture.
1. Cooking grill and warming racks
Clean the grill and warming racks with soap water.
To remove residue, you can use a cleaning sponge.
Then rinse the cooking grids with plenty of water
and dry throughly. It is not recommended to wash
the grill or warming racks in dishwasher.
2. Burners
Each burner is adjusted for optimal flame per-
formance prior to shipment. The burner flames
should be blue and stable and can have small yel-
low tips. If the flame pattern becomes distinctly
yellow, it could be caused by the grease gen-
erated from cooking that blocks the burner, or
spiders or other insects in the air funnel. This can
result in the flow of gas and air being restricted
or blocked, which may lead to a fire behind the
control panel and cause serious damage to your
gas grill . When this occurs, turn off the gas sup
-
ply at the cylinder immediately. Apart from the
regular cleaning and maintenance, burner should
also be checked and cleaned under the following
conditions:
1) Bringing the gas grill out of storage.
2) One or more of the burners do not ignite.
3) The flame is significantly yellow.
4) The gas ignites behind the control panel.
Remove one burner of the grill to clean it. Clean
the exterior of the burner with a wire brush.
Clean the gas outlet holes of the burner with a
pipe cleaner or a piece of wire. Make sure not
to enlarge the gas outlet holes. Clean the insect
screen at the end of the venturi tube with a
bristle brush. Clean the venturi tube with a pipe
cleaner or a piece of wire. You may need a flash
-
light to view the inside of the venturi. Place the
burner upside down and tap lightly with a piece
of wood to remove all debris from the interior.
3. Main body of the gas grill
Excessive fat must be regularly removed with a
soft plastic or wooden scraper. It is not neces
-
sary to remove all the grease from the body. If
necessary, use warm soapy water and a cloth
or a nylon brush. Remove cooking surfaces and
burners before full cleaning. Do not immerse the
gas controls or manifold in water. Check if the
burners work normally after they are put back on
the gas grill.
4. Fixing materials
Check all screws and bolts etc. on a regular basis,
and if necessary, retighten them.
5. Storage
Store your gas drill in a cool dry place. It must be
inspected on a regular basis as damp or condens-
ation can form which may result in damage to
the gas grill. It may be necessary to dry the appli
-
ance and the inside of the cover after each use.
Mould and rust can grow under these conditions,
thus the gas grill should be cleaned and main-
tained when needed. Any rust that is found that
does not come into contact with the food should
be treated with a rust inhibitor and painted with
barbecue paint or other types of heat resistant
paint.
- Both the chrome-plated warming rack and the
cooking grill should be coated with cooking oil.
- Wrap the burners in aluminium foil to help pre-
vent insects or other debris from obstructing the
burners.
- The gas cylinder must always be disconnected
from the gas grill and stored in a well-ventilated
area with a distance of at least 1 metre from the
cylinder to any source of heat or ignition.
- Do not store gas cylinders inside residential ac
-
commodation.
- Never allow children to tamper with gas cylin-
ders.
- The gas cylinder must be stored in an upright
position and below ground level (e.g. Cellars)
