4. KEYPAD, DISPLAY AND LED INDICATORS

HELIOS control unit is equipped with control and display devices (behind the front protection door):

12 Rubber keys to digit configuration and user code. They are used during unit configuration to digit 

numbers or names of detectors or remote control devices (same digit mode used for  mobile phones).

STOP key

: to exit current display.

Arrow keys

: to browse displayed information or to select a character while editing names.

OK key

: to confirm the selection on the display.

Function keys associated to the following operations: 

    -  Day arm, left key.              -  Night arm, right key. 

    -  Total arm, top key.             - Total disarm , bottom key.

These operations can also be performed using the remote control with no need to digit the code on the keypad.

Back-lit LCD display for operating and setup messages displayed along 2 x 16-character lines.

Back light will last around 16 seconds from last key pressed.

 Display of radio signal coming from field detectors through 3 LED indicators: red,

yellow and green. Useful also during unit installation to check the real radio coverage.

 LED indicator for TAMPER alarm:

- LED ON = alarm event. 

- Blinking LED = alarm event is being logged. 

- Fast blinking LED = display memory.
To display alarm events logged, press

  keys to browse events, and 

OK

key to confirm and cancel event(s) logged.

  LED indicator for INTRUSION alarm: 

- LED ON = alarm event. 

- Blinking LED = alarm event is being logged. 

- Fast blinking LED = display memory.
To display alarm events logged, press

 keys to browse events, and 

OK

key to confirm and cancel event(s) logged.

 LED indicator for system anomalies:

- LED ON = no events.

- Blinking LED = system anomaly event.
To display anomalies, press 

, then 

and 

 keys to browse events, and 

OK

 key to confirm

and cancel anomalies logged.

NOTE:

 a fault alarm generated by system detectors will be reset only after having reset the

triggering condition.

  LED indicator for control unit’s armed status:

- LED ON = detectors status ok (no events).

- Blinking LED = anomaly occurred to at least one detector assigned to the EXIT

  PATH, or permanent anomaly of a DRACO smoke detector, or anomaly occurred to at least 

  one detector NOT assigned to the EXIT PATH (with auto-bypass function active).

- LED OFF = anomaly occurred to at least one detector NOT assigned to the EXIT

  PATH with auto-bypass function NOT active.

To display anomalies, press 

key, then

STOP

key to exit.
