Touch panel problems

Possible cause and remedy
21. Touch operation is disabled.
• Thetouchpaneldrivermustbeinstalledwhenthis
productisusedasatouchpanelmonitor.Check
whetherthedriverhasbeeninstalledcorrectlyin
accordancewiththeInstallationGuideonthesupplied
CD-ROM.
• CheckthatthemonitorandPCareconnectedwitha
USBcable.
22. No sound is heard when the panel is
touched.
• DependingonthehardwareconfigurationofthePC,
nosoundmaybeoutputfromitsaudiooutputterminal
whenthescreenistouched.
23. The cursor is not positioned correctly.
• Usethecalibrationutilitytoperformthecalibration.
24. The cursor moves irregularly or flips.
• Ifthesurfaceorasideofthepanelisdirty,cleanit.
• Checkthesettingenvironmentofthemonitor.This
functiondoesnotworkcorrectlyunderthefollowing
conditions.
-Thepanelsurfaceissubjecttodirectorindirect
sunlightorstronglight.
-Thereissomeinfrareddevicenearthemonitor.
-Monitorsareadjacenttoeachother.
• Atouchinsensitivepointonthepanelmaybe
touched.
• Touchthepanelwithyourfinger,thesuppliedtouch
pen,oranon-reflectiveobjectthathasnoriskof
damagingthepanelsurface.
Ifanyofthefollowingisused,thetouchpaneldoes
notworkcorrectly.
-Objectwhosesurfacechangesinshapewhen
touchingthepanel,suchasaglove
-Mirror-likereflectiveobject
-Transparentobjectsuchasanacrylicone
-Thin-edgedobject
• Ifanarm(orotherstand)isattached,usethemonitor
inlandscapeviewmode.Ifthemonitorisused
inportraitviewmode,themonitordoesnotwork
correctly.(Thisproductdoesnotsupportportraitview
modewhenanarm(orotherstand)isattached.)
• Thisproductsupportsuptotwosimultaneous
touches(multi-touchsupport).Sincethetwosensors
atbothtopcornersofthescreenareusedtodetect
touches,themonitormaynotbeabletodetecttwo
simultaneoustouchespreciselydependingontheir
positions.
