reduced. Use this function to reduce noise and roughness in
images.

Using the Noise Reduction
function may lead to dete-
rioration of fine images.

The display method can be selected before the interlace signal
is displayed. Signals of 24 frames or 30 frames per second for
images such as movies, computer graphics, and animations
are automatically identified and the most suitable images are
displayed.

“Film Detection” is only
enabled during 1080i signal

The “safe area” is an area in which images can be displayed
on any display device.
When you set this function to “On”, this function displays the
safe area frame during for instance video editing, to enable
positioning while confirming at a glance that subtitles and
menu windows come within the safe area.
