7. Operating
7.1 Sawing (Fig. 5, 7)
Place the wood in the feed carriage.
Press the green button (16) to switch on the saw.
Wait until it reaches full speed.
Take hold of the carriage with both hands on the
handle (8) and move it towards the saw blade (4).
Pressing the carriage releases the saw blade from
the saw blade cover (3).
Do not apply so much pressure to the feed
carriage that the motor speed falls.
After the cut has been completed return the
carriage completely to its initial position.
Remove the saw wood from the carriage.
To turn the saw off again, press the red button “0”
(17).
Important: Never switch on the machine
again whilst it is slowing down.
Note:
If the wood cannot be sawn completely in a
single cut, turn it over (reversing cut). To do this
return the feed carriage to its initial position, turn
the wood along the cut and saw through it again.
Important
: If the saw blade (4) does not reach a
standstill after a maximum of 10 seconds, have
the switch checked by an authorized electrician
and replaced if necessary.
Pull the power plug immediately after finishing
work.
Never
leave the machine until you have
pulled the plug and secured the machine to
prevent its unauthorized use.
7.2. Changing the saw blade (Fig. 8-14)
Important: Pull the power plug!
Allow the saw blade to cool before you change it.
Do not use inflammable liquids to clean the saw
blade.
Always wear gloves when handling saw blades.
Risk of injury!
Remove the screw (20) from the cover plate (21)
and pull the cover plate downwards.
Undo the screw (A) on the return spring (10) guide
tube (12) (see Figure 9). Then remove the disk
(23). Now swing the entire feed carriage (6)
downwards and place it on the floor.
Place the locking bolt (24) in to the hole (34) away
from the flange (25) in the fixed saw blade cover
(2) and check that the saw blade (4) is locked.
The locking bolt (24) must pass right through the
fixed saw blade cover (2) and be visible on the
other side.
Undo the flange screw (26) by turning it counter-
clockwise.
Take the flange screw (26) and outer flange (25)
off the saw shaft (27).
The saw blade (4) can now be taken off the saw
shaft (27). Ensure that you do not lose the groove
spring (28) as you do this.
Carefully clean the saw blade (4), inner flange
(29), outer flange (25) and flange screw (26)
before re-assembly.
Fit the new saw blade following the above
instructions in reverse and tighten the flange
screw (26).
Important
: Do not tighten the flange
screws by tapping the tool (33) and do not use
any tool extensions. Ensure that the groove spring
(28) is fitted correctly and that the saw blade (4)
turns in the right direction.
Important: Remove the locking bolt (24) for the
changing the saw blade from the hole (34) in
the fixed saw blade cover (2) and insert the
bolt into the mounting (31) for it in the
machine frame (Fig. 14).
Swing the feed carriage (6) up again and thread
the return spring (10) guide tube back through the
mounting (30). Then plug the disk (23) onto the
guide tube and secure it with screw (A).
Important:
The tool (33) must be removed from
the flange screw. Keep the tool (33) for changing
the saw blade on the hook (32) provided for it on
the machine frame.
7.3. Transport (Fig. 2, 3, 15)
The chassis (9) means that the saw can be
transported by a single person.
Fit the transit lock (11) before transport.
To do this, remove the screw (14), move the
transport lock (11) towards the inside of the machine
and insert the screw (14) again. (Fig. 2)
