Troubleshooting the DIVA T/A
LED Status Indicators on the DIVA T/A
The LED status indicators on the DIVA T/A display the state of the ISDN switch (D-channel)
connection to the remote device (B-channel), and the connection to analog devices.
B1, B2 LEDs
D LED
Link LED
LED
Description
Off
No call activity on the specified B-channel.
Flashing
An outgoing or incoming connection is being established on the specified B-channel.
Steady
There is a successful connection on the specified B channel.
LED
Description
Off
The ISDN physical interface is not activated. The LINK LED might provide additional
status information.
Flashing
Flashing indicates that the DIVA T/A has automatically disabled Always On / Dynamic
ISDN due to a failure to dial and bring up the X.25 datalink on the D-channel. You can
still use the DIVA T/A, but without the features of AO/DI.
Some ISDN service providers do not yet support AO/DI. If you know your ISDN line
does not support this feature, disable this option. If you are using Windows, choose a
protocol other than ‘MultiLink PPP with AO/DI’ (see “General Tab” on page 38). If you
are using a Macintosh, disable the AO/DI option (see “Advanced Tab” on page 70).
If you are unsure if your ISDN line supports AO/DI, check with your service provider
before enabling this option.
If AO/DI is supported and you have subscribed to it, verify that you have correctly
configured your AO/DI settings (see page 48 if you are using Windows, or see
page 68 for Macintosh).
Steady
The ISDN physical interface is initialized and ready to place calls.
LED
Description
Off
The ISDN physical interface is not synchronized, or is improperly connected.
Note: In Europe, this indicates an idle condition.
Flashing
The ISDN physical interface is synchronizing.
Steady
The ISDN physical interface is activated. The D, B1, and B2 LEDs might provide
additional status information.
