
Board Overview
Typically, serial Flash memory on Ethernut 5 is used to store the configuration and
several boot images. Initial programming of the serial Flash can be done with
•
the SAM-BA utility using the RS-232 or the USB device port.
•
via JTAG by uploading U-Boot into the SDRAM and using the command
cp
or any of the pre-defined install scripts.
For the partition layout, refer to chapter "Memory Layout".
NAND Flash Memory
The Micron MT29F8G08ABABAWP (IC3) provides 1 GByte of NAND Flash, which
is used for the Linux root file system by default.
Initial programming of this chip can be done by using
•
the U-Boot command
nand
.
•
the SAM-BA utility using the RS-232 or the USB device port.
NAND Flash is currently not supported by Nut/OS.
