It’s best to oil the cutting head daily when the trim-
mer is in regular use:
• Remove the cutter head by pressing from above
against the cutting head. Now carefully press against
the motor attachment so that the cutter lifts slightly
from the cutting head. Oil all the places where the
blade and the cutting head have previously come
into contact. Only use the included special oil (does
not evaporate, does not impair the blade’s running).
• Please use a damp cloth to clean the housing and
the charging station.
• Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaners.
The cutting head may be replaced should its cutting
performance start to fade over time (available as a
spare part).
Troubleshooting / when the hair trimmer doesn’t
work...
• The trimmer isn’t working or can’t be switched on?
> Is the battery empty? Please place the trimmer
in the charging station (connected to the mains) or
connect the mains adapter directly to the trimmer.
A quick charge will only take twenty minutes. You
may also continue to work with the power cable
connected.
> Please check the power supply for the correct
mains voltage.
• The hair trimmer switches itself off.
> Please charge the trimmer’s battery or continue
with the power cable connected.
• The hair trimmer is “pulling”?
> Please clean and oil the trimmer regularly, pre-
ferably daily when it is in frequent use. Please pro-
ceed as described above.
• Skin damage
> Did you apply too much pressure with the trim-
mer? Reduce the pressure applied.
> Damaged cutting head? Check the cutting head
for damage or irregular running. Replace the cutting
head if necessary.
Safety information
• This hair trimmer is intended solely for professional
use.
• The appliance may not be opened.
• Never attempt to remove dust or dirt with the help
of pointed objects, such as needles or comb tips, from
the hair trimmer’s interior.
• The mains adapter may only be connected to al-
ternating currents. Please check whether the mains
voltage corresponds to the voltage indicated on the
mains adapter’s type plate.
• Do not immerse the trimmer, mains adapter or
connecting cable in water and do not rinse under
running water.
• No fluids may be allowed to get inside the trimmer.
• Do not use this trimmer in proximity
to bathtubs, showers, wash basins or
other vessels containing water and do
not use it when your hands are wet.
• Should the trimmer have fallen into water, dis-
connect it from the mains before taking it out. The
trimmer may never be used again if it has fallen into
water.
• When the trimmer is used in bathrooms, you should
always disconnect it from the mains after use as
proximity to water constitutes a risk even when the
trimmer is switched off.
• Additional protection may be provided through the
installation of a fault-current safety feature with a
breaking current of less than 30 mA in the buildings’
systems. We recommend that you have an electri-
cian protect the power circuits with an FI protective
circuit.
Never take the appliance into operation when
– the trimmer, the mains plug or the power cable has
been damaged.
– the trimmer has been dropped, there is visible da-
mage to the cutting head or its functioning is restric-
ted as otherwise it may damage the skin.
– the trimmer has been damaged to such an extent
that electrical components are exposed.
– liquid or foreign bodies have penetrated the trim-
mer.
