A58-370, No. 54 Squadron, Darwin Civil Aerodrome, May 1945
This A/C has clearly been fitted with a freshly bagged rudder. This could be K3/181 Covering Dope Aluminium or some form of primer grey. The RAAF
overpainted the RAF serial, the Yellow surround of the fuselage roundel and reduced the size of the upper wing roundels. The colours used would most likely
have been: RAAF Light Earth, in place of Middle Stone. This colour is close to the RAF Light Earth but darker than Middle Stone. RAAF Dark Earth is very
similar to the RAF Dark Earth, being only marginally darker. The squadron code letters are Yellow.
