INSTRUÇÕES IMPORTANTES DE SEGURANÇA / IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE USING THE KETTLE FOR THE FIRST TIME

Please read this instruction manual carefully.

Before using the kettle for the first time, boil water at least twice in the appliance to

clean any residue that may have been deposited on it during the manufacturing

process.

HOW TO USE

- Remove the kettle from its support before filling it with water.

- Open the lid by pressing the release button and fill the tank with water; You should

fill the tank to the minimum level, but not above the maximum level mark. (You can

see the water level through the transparent kettle gauge.)

- Close the lid by pressing the button down until it clicks. Make sure it is properly

closed.

- Place the kettle on the support, connect it to the socket and start it up; the indica-

tor will light.

- The kettle will automatically turn off when the water boils.

- Unhook the kettle from the support and pour the hot water with the lid closed.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

- Make sure the appliance is unplugged from the power outlet and allow it to cool

down completely before cleaning.

- To clean the exterior surfaces, lightly rub with a soft cloth and dry thoroughly.

To clean the interior walls of the kettle, use a soft cloth or soft bristled brush to

remove dirt.

Note: do not use abrasive products.

- To clean the filter, open the lid and pull the filter out from the inside of the kettle;

Rinse it under running water and dry it well before putting it back in place.

- Do not immerse the kettle or its support in water.

DECALCIFICATION

Periodically descale the kettle to ensure optimum performance. The frequency of

this operation will depend on the hardness of the water and the frequency of use of

the kettle.

1. If you notice an increase in noise during boiling, or if the appliance turns off before

the water boils, you need to descale it.

In general, you must decalcify with the following frequency:

   - With soft water, a minimum of once every 6 months.

   - With hard water, a minimum of once every 3 months.

2. We strongly recommend that you only use descaling products suitable for plastic

kettles.

3. Carefully read the instructions for the descaling product and perform the desca-

ling process step by step.

4. After the descaling is complete, rinse the inside of the kettle with clean water.
