How to pass through NAT or Firewall
When VES3302 acts as Public Domain Server, it needs to use Public IP. If Public IP
address is not available and need to use Private IP instead, then you should try to
pass through NAT. If Firewall is used in your company, please contact network
administrator to open the related Port No. for this machine.
11.1 Private IP
The sections below are the private IP address in LAN (Local Area Network) and it is
unable to connect to Internet directly. NAT device is needed to switch to Public IP
for Internet connection.
1. 10.0.0.0 ~ 10.255.255.255
2. 192.168.0.0 ~ 192.168.255.255
3. 172.16.0.0 ~ 172.31.255.255
11.2 Passing Through NAT
If the IP address you used is inside the IP section above, there are two ways to
pass through NAT
(1) Specify WAN IP by yourself
Step 1: Click path on left column: HOME / Advanced-SIP / STUN
Step 2: Select Disable in STUN Server Field
Step 3: Input fixed Public IP of NAT device for the Private IP of this machine in
NAT WAN IP field
Step 4: Click Apply
(2) By the support of STUN server to pass through NAT (If STUN Server is
available for passing through NAT)
Step 1: Click path on left column: HOME / Advanced-SIP / STUN
Step 2: Select Enable in STUN Server Field
Step 3: Use default value 0.0.0.0 in NAT WAN IP field
Step 4: Input the related information of STUN Server
Step 5: Click
Apply
11.3 Open Server Port
Please contact network administrator to configure the UDP port number section
below as Server port in NAT device (IP Sharing Device, Router, and Firewall):
(1) UDP Port 2000
(2) UDP Port 5060
(3) UDP Port 10000 ~ 10719
