Remove the three thumbscrews from the sensor cover.

Remove the sensor cover.

Remove the sampling head from the bottom of the sensor.

Inspect the sensor cover for residual dust.
Note:
Use one of the following methods to clean the
surface. Blow the dust away with low pressure air, or,
Wipe with a soft lint-free cloth.

Inspect the glass lens covers for dust.
Note:
Use one of the following methods to clean the glass lens.
Blow the dust away with low pressure air, or,
Use a small amount of isopropyl alcohol and wipe with foam tip
swabs.
CAUTION:
Do not spill any alcohol into the internals of the
Haz-Dust SM-4000.

Replace the sampling head.

Replace the sensor cover.

Tighten the three thumbscrews snugly into place.
