Commissioning

Commissioning depends on the options selected.

Air conditionned cabinet only

Concerns a basic Mini-X cabinet equipped only with a heat exchanger and 2 PDUs (PDU model
according to choice when ordering). After installation and connection, the commissioning by an ECUS
technician consists in carrying out adjustments and tests of correct operation with the checklist
provided in appendix of the manual, in order to validate the guarantee.
Alternatively: The remote commissioning consists in validating remotely each control point by all the
means requested by ECUS.

At the customer's expense:

After the installation of the IT equipment by the service provider, it

is necessary to perfect the containment and avoid the backflow of hot air to the front: please

seal the empty U between the 19'' uprights with the 1U containment panel set provided.

Cabinet with option

The options UPS, monitoring, fire protection, etc., require additional commissioning, please refer to
their respective manuals.

Airtightness of the floor

It is imperative to check the watertightness between the baseboards of the cabinet and the floor to
inhibit any air entry from the room, in order to stop any penetration of dust and stale air, and to limit
the creation of condensates. A gasket is provided to be placed between the baseboards and the floor.

Recommended temperature for I.T.

Since 2015, the authoritative American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning
Engineers (ASHRAE) has recommended server inlet temperature ranges of 27°C-80°F (up to 32°C-
90°F), with humidity between 8 and 60% without compromising proper operation.

For optimal operation, we recommend that you do not change the parameters set at
commissioning without consulting ECUS.
