Modem Driver and Software
Install the Modem driver from the sub-folders for Windows 95/98 or
Windows NT4.0.
Windows 95/98
The modem is a plug and play device so Windows 95/98 will
automatically detect the presence of your modem. When the Plug and
Play wizard begins to look for modem drivers, click on the button that
says Have Disk and then browse or type in the pathname to the
CMI8x58\modem\win9x folder.
Windows NT 4.0
Follow the instructions in the README file in the WINNT4 sub-folder.
Peripheral Folder Installation Notes
Network Drivers
You can use the LAN sub-folder to install a driver for the built-in network
adapter. Log on to the LAN folder. This folder has sub-folders for many
different operating systems including Netware, DOS, SCO UNIX,
Workgroups for Windows, Windows 95/98, OS2, and so on. Log on to
the correct operating system and version for your computer. Read or
print the README file that is stored in the sub-folder. Follow the
installation instructions in the README file.
Intel Folder Installation Notes
I810_ACPI
This folder has a patch that allows a Windows 95/98 system to carry out
a suspend to RAM. Run SETUP.EXE to install the patch.
Inf
The Intel INF Installation Utility installs to the target system the
Windows* INF files that outline to the operating system how the chipset
components shall be configured. This is needed for proper functionality
of the following features:
