2.8 BATTERY

Your ECOPED is equipped with a 4.8V, 8A (Rated) lead acid recharge-
able battery that has a life of about 400-500 charges and is designed
to carry you on a distance of 50-60km, depending on the terrain,
slope, and load.  All of these factors will influence the battery’s life per
charge.  Located beneath the seat, it weighs more than 10kg and must
be handled with care.  Due to its weight and location, ECOPED recom-
mends at least two people to take part in removing the battery.  Due to
the chemical structure of the battery, it must be handled with caution
and care.  Make sure to follow the directions listed in this manual.

WARNING!

This product contains lead and lead compounds, chemicals known to cause harm to

your health.  Make sure to wash hands after handling.
