fitted

standard

 

with

 

a

 

room

 

air

 

HEPA

 

grade

 

filtration

 

system,

 

as

 

explained

 

further

 

in

 

this

 

manual,

 

this

 

filter

 

eliminates

 

dust

 

from

 

the

 

sealed

 

blower

 

area

 

thus

 

eliminating

 

the

 

need

 

for

 

end

 

user

 

intervention.

blower

 

is

 

installed

 

on

 

the

 

wood

 

fire

 

to

 

increase

 

the

 

flow

 

of

 

air

 

past

 

heat

 

exchange

 

surfaces

 

and

 

to

 

help

 

circulate

 

warm

 

air

 

in

 

the

 

room.

 

When

 

used

 

regularly,

 

the

 

blower

 

can

 

provide

 

a

 

small

 

increase

 

in

 

efficiency,

 

up

 

to

 

2

 

percent.

 

However,

 

the

 

use

 

of

 

a

 

blower

 

should

 

not

 

be

 

used

 

as

 

a

 

way

 

to

 

gain

 

more

 

output

 

from

 

a

 

wood

 

fire

 

that

 

is

 

undersized

 

for

 

the

 

space

 

it

 

is

 

intended

 

to

 

heat.

 

Before

 

turning

on

 

the

 

blower,

 

allow

 

the

 

wood

 

fire

 

to

 

reach

 

operating

 

temperature

 

(approximately

 

one

 

hour).

 

The

 

increased

 

airflow

 

from

 

the

 

blower

 

cools

 

the

 

firebox

 

and

 

could

 

affect

 

the

 

start

up

 

combustion

 

efficiency

 

if

 

the

 

blower

 

is

 

turned

 

on

 

too

 

early.
