VERIFICATION
Adjust the knobs to the positions as listed below:
•
Tone control set to middle position.
•
Gain and Level potentiometers at their maximum.
•
Faders up to maximum.
•
Crossfader set to its central position.
•
"Phono/Line" selection switches set to "Line".
•
"Normal/Reverse" selection switches set to "Normal".
•
"Monitor" switch set to "Pgm".
•
"Cut" switch turned in order to face toward the input terminals.
•
"Balance" and "Mix" control knobs set to their middle position.
Connect the unit to the mains supply, and verify that the main on/off switch is
functioning correctly, and that the VU-meter's
ON
leds are lit.
Apply a 1KHz -10dB signal to the Line1 input, and check that the REC output level is
0dB.
Verify the gain's potentiometer sweep, which should allow to adjust gain from
maximum down to signal cut-off.
Verify the tone control responses, which should be:
•
-15
÷
+9dB at 100Hz for the low frequencies adjustment.
•
-24
÷
+10dB at 1KHz for mid frequencies adjustment.
•
-12
÷
+8dB at 10KHz for high frequency adjustment.
Verify the Balance and Cut functions.
Verify the Fader and the Reverse switch, and observe that it works reversely. Verify
the SHAPE potentiometer's response curve, which should show a transition at it's left-
handed maximal sweep, and a smoothening at it's right.
Verify the Crossfader and its Reverse switch, and observe that it works reversely.
Verify the SHAPE response curve, which should show a smooth transition at its left
and a faster transition when turning it to the right.
