Failure of the pack controller / CAN bus when using enthalpy-dependent heating
Emergency run time is always switched to automatically if the case controller has not received any values from
a pack controller over a time of 10 minutes.
Switching interval
The switching interval for the frame heater has a total duration of 10 minutes. For a run time of 10%, the frame
heater switches ON for 1 minute and OFF for 9 minutes.
5.9 Manual shutdown
A voltage present at the 230 V AC input for the manual shutdown (terminals D31/D32) switches off all control
functions (compressor control, defrost,...). However all interfaces and operating functions remain active.
Warning about dangerous electrical voltage!
Danger of electric shock! BEFORE connecting and disconnecting, it must be checkedthat no voltage
at the 230 V AC digital inputs! The controller and connected voltage carrying components
is present
remain supplied with power!
5.10 Toggle setpoint (day / night operation)
The setpoints of the electronics can be entered as default and as alternative values. It is possible to change
between default and alternative value using the toggle setpoint. The changeover can be performed in 2 ways
(menu 3-3):
Extern: by a voltage at the 230 V digital input 2 (terminals D21/D22) by means of a switch or timer.
Warning about dangerous electrical voltage!

no voltage is present
230 V AC digital inputs! The controller and connected voltage carrying components remain supplied
with power!
Internal: using configurable changeover times of the internal clock.
The fan stops for a configurable time (blind runtime). The fan continues running when shifting down from
alternative values to the default values.
Blind runtime
The multidecks usually move the blinds down for toggle setpoint. For some refrigerated cases, it is
necessary to deactivate the fans during the moving down of the blinds so that the blind is not pressed
out of the case.
5.11 Lighting control
The case controller is equipped for activating the case lighting / night blind. The control is performed via the 24
V DC / 50 mA digital output (terminals 81/82). The On/Off command is issued by a higher level controller (e.g.
system centre / store computer / PLC) via the CAN bus. The parametrisation is performed in the higher level
controller; no parametrisation in the case controller itself is necessary. The state of the output is shown in the
menu 1-2 (“Light ON/OFF”).
