Using the microphone

SOFT
allows the computer microphone to be used to communicate with the patient, if the patient is in an
audiometry booth and the operator is outside.
The microphone configuration is done in the third tab at the top left of the audiometry window.
It is possible to select the input device (the device list will depend on the computer and the sound card).
It is possible to adjust the input gain (this will depend on the computer and the sound card). Finally, the power at
which the sound will be sent to the patient's headset must be adjusted.
To use the microphone, hold down the
"A"
button and speak (the indicator light in the lower left corner turns red).

Using the keyboard
In addition to the visual checks in the software, you can also perform audiometry manually using your computer
keyboard.
The sound volume is indicative and may vary depending on the microphone, the computer and the operator's
speech.
