2. Remove gear case assembly (C) from main pipe (D).

3. Pull upper drive shaft (E) 12 in. (305 mm) out of
housing (F).

4. Loosen extension thumbscrew (G). Align ridges
on upper drive shaft housing with grooves in
extension clamp. Align upper drive shaft (E) with
extension drive shaft (H).

5. Slide extension (I) onto housing (F) until exten-
sion stops. Tighten extension thumbscrew (G).

6. Note: Bottom view of gear case shown.
Install gear case assembly (C) (bottom view
shown) onto main pipe (I) of extension. Align lo-
cating screw (B) on bottom of gear case coupler
to locating hole (J) on main pipe (I) of the ex-
tension. Tighten locating screw (B). Tighten four
gear case coupler screws (A).
