TROUBLESHOOTING
Before referring to a service centre, check the following list of common problems and how to remove
them.
Problem
Solution
The motor will not start.
Check the power cord and plug. Refer to an authorized service centre if the
problems persist.
The vacuum cleaner
switched off while in use
and cannot be switched on
again.
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a thermal motor fuse, which is activated in
case of overheating (caused by blockage of the suction opening, filters, etc.).
In case of activation of the thermal fuse, switch off the appliance, disconnect the
power cord from the outlet and let it cool down for several hours. Before you use
it again make sure that the filters or the suction opening are not clogged.
Poor suction power
The power regulator is set to minimum, raise power.
Dust container is full. Empty it.
Clogged filter. Clean or replace the filters.
The dust collection system
is not properly closed.
The safety lock (16C) does not allow the installation of the dust collection
system in the vacuum cleaner without the HEPA motor filter.
Make sure that the motor HEPA filter is in its place and properly installed.
The vacuum cleaner
emits an odor for first few
minutes.
This odor is normal with a new appliance and disappears in a few moments.
This is not a malfunction.
The brush remains too
close to the floor when
vacuuming.
Use the electronic power regulator (7) or the airflow regulator (2) to lower the
vacuum’s suction power.
