POWER
1. The scale is powered by solar panels. It only operates with light (daylight or artifi cial).
2. The scale will switch off if the light is too low. In this case, take the scale to an area with better light and
wait for it to be activated.
3. The recommended illuminance for using the scale is at least 70 lx. “0” fl ashes on the display when the
scale is in standby mode.
USE
DO NOT COVER the solar panels when using the scale.
1. The scale must be placed on a fl at, hard and stable surface (not on a carpet, weighing would be
inaccurate).
2. Make sure the weight is placed in an area well lit by the sun or by artifi cial light and the panels are not
covered. “0” begins fl ashing on the display.
Note:
If “0” does not fl ash on the LCD display, improve the lighting or move the scale
to an area with an illuminance of at least 70 lx. The scale will reactivate itself after
60–90 seconds (this period is shorter based on the intensity of the light).
3. Step on to the scale carefully. “– – –” is shown on the display meaning the
weighing process is under way. Stand straight on the scale, do not move and
wait until your weight is shown on the display, stable (approx. 3 seconds).
4. The LCD display shows the measured weight for about 12 seconds.
5. After getting off the scale, the device will automatically switch into standby
mode and “0” begins fl ashing on the display.
6. After weighing yourself, put the scale away in a place where it will not interfere.
Adding weight
If, for example, you would like to determine the weight of your child, weigh yourself
fi rst (weight until the numbers become stable), then without getting off the weight,
take your child into your hands. The display will show the weighing process and the
weight will stabilize. Now you can see the total weight. Subtracting your own weight
from the newly obtained value will give you the weight of your child.
Note:
The weighed object must have more than 2 kg.
UNIT CONVERSION
The device can display your weight in the metric or imperial system.
You can switch units via the switch located on the bottom side of the scale.
Shifting the switch between positions converts the weight between kilograms (kg)
and pounds (lb).
