SONIX HMI26 TECHNICAL MANUAL

TM375 / A  June 2022  www.eaton.com

5.6.1  Normal operation

In normal operation each zone button has an associated

value in the configuration ranging from 1 to 32. In normal

operation the value simply maps to a single zone on a 1:1

basis, with two exceptions:

•

A value of 31 will generate an All-Call button that

activates all zones.

•

A value of 32 will disable that zone button.

•

5.6.2  Multi-Zone mode operation

There is a secondary operation mode that is called

Multi-Zone mode. Activating this mode will cause Zone

Buttons 11 and 12 to be disabled (unable to be used for

zone selection) and will allow Zone Buttons 1 and 2 to

have a 10-zone map assigned to them. This mapping is

made up of the first 10 zones in the Sonix system only,

i.e. it cannot be used to activate any of zones 11-30.

The map for Zone button 1 is made of up of the value

for Zone Button 1 and Zone Button 12 combined. The

map for Zone Button 2 is made up of the value for Zone

Button 2 and Zone Button 11 combined.
