UPS Installation
NOTE
Do not make unauthorized changes to the UPS; otherwise, damage may occur to
your equipment and void your warranty.
The E82/E83 models require a dedicated branch circuit that meets the
following requirements:
S
63A circuit with short circuit and overcurrent protection
S
200–240 Vac
S
50/60 Hz
S
The breaker must be wall-mounted and be readily accessible to the
operator
S
Flexible metal conduit (recommended for ease of service and
maintenance)
To install the UPS:
1.
Verify that all circuit breakers are in the OFF (O) position.
2.
If you are installing power management software, connect your
computer to the USB port, UPS communication port, or optional
X-Slot
®
card (see page 55). For the communication port, use the
supplied serial cable.
3.
If your rack has conductors for grounding or bonding of ungrounded
metal parts, connect the ground cable (not included) to the ground
bonding screw. See Figure 29 on page 36 for the location of the
ground bonding screw.
