Eaton 30 kVA Mini Power Distribution Unit Installation and Operation Manual 164001117—Rev 01

General operating conditions for transformer operation are according to IEEE C57.12.01 (most recent
edition).

Relative humidity range: 0% to 95% non-condensing.

Maximum altitude 10,000 ft. The PDU is de-rated above 10,000 ft. For operations at heights above 3,300
ft., please contact the factory before ordering.

If the PDU is not to be immediately installed and energized, it should be carefully stored in a warm, dry
environment, preferably a heated building with air circulation and a uniform temperature to prevent
condensation. It is especially important that the transformer be free of condensation and protected from
contamination. The transformer and PDU should be stored in their factory protective coverings.

Storage temperature range must be within these extremes: -30

C to +70

C (-22

F to 158

F).

If the transformer has been exposed to moisture, it should be dried out before being energized. Consult Eaton
Service if the unit has been exposed to moisture or contamination.
