Contact wear indication
Current contact wear status can be displayed on the intelligent
controller panel. The value displayed on the controller is 100%
upon delivery from factory, indicating that the contact is not worn.
When the value drops to 60%, an alarm signal will be issued to
remind the user to take timely maintenance measures. After the
contact is replaced, the initial wear value can be restored through
setting up.
Self-diagnosis
An alarm signal can be immediately send out if a micro-processor
fault occurs in the intelligent controller or the ambient tempera-
ture around the micro-processor exceeds 80°C.
Zone selective interlocking (ZSI)
The ZSI includes short-circuit interlocking and ground interlocking.
In the same power circuit containing two or more upstream and
downstream circuit breakers:
• When a short circuit or ground fault occurs at the outgoing side
of the downstream circuit breaker (#2~#4) - such as Position
b
, the downstream circuit breaker will instantaneously trip and
send a zone interlocking signal to the upstream circuit breaker;
The upstream circuit breaker (#1) receives the zone interlocking
trip signal and delays according to the short circuit or ground
protection setting. If the fault current is eliminated during the
delay time of the upstream circuit breaker, the protection will
return and the upstream circuit breaker will not act; if the fault
current is not eliminated after the tripping of the downstream
circuit breaker, the upstream circuit breaker will act according
to the short-circuit or ground protection setting to switch off
the faulty line.
• When a short circuit or ground fault occurs between the
upstream circuit breaker (#1) and downstream circuit breaker
(#2~#5) -such as Position
a
, the upstream circuit breaker will
not receive the zone interlocking signal and thus trip instanta-
neously to quickly cut off the faulty circuit.
• To set up parameters:
•
At least one DI of the upstream circuit breaker is set as zone
interlocking detection;
•
At least one DO of the downstream circuit breaker is set as
zone interlocking signal output.

Test tripping / locking
Three testing methods are available for tripping, including three-
stage protection, ground/residual current fault, and mechanism
action time.
Three-stage protection test: The output simulates fault current to
simulate the protection by the controller when an overload, short
circuit, and instantaneous fault occurs.
Ground/residual current fault test: The input simulates the ground/
residual current fault current to simulate the protection by the
controller when a ground/residual current fault occurs. It is used
to check the operating characteristic set points.
Mechanism action time test: The magnetic flux is forced to con-
vert action, to test inherent mechanical time during circuit breaker
tripping.
Remote locking
When locked in the "locked" state, the controller will not respond
to the remote commands from the host computer.
When unlocked in the "unlocked" state, the controller will respond
to command from the host computer, such as, remote opening,
closing, and resetting.
Parameter locking
When locked in the "locked" state, the parameters cannot be
modified by users. When unlocked in the "unlocked" state, the
parameters can be modified by users.

TO ENTER INTO THE “PARAMETER LOCKING” SCREEN, ENTER THE USER
PASSWORD CORRECTLY.
