Fault Recorder
Purpose of the Fault Recorder
The Fault Recorder provides compressed information about faults (e.g. Trip Causes). The
compressed information can be read also at the HMI. This might be helpful for fast fault
analysis. After a fault, a pop-up window will be sent onto the display in order to draw the
user's attention to the fault. The Fault Recorder will provide information on the causes of
the fault. A detailed fault analysis (in oscillographic form) can be done by means of the
Waveform Recorder. The reference between the Fault Records and the corresponding
Waveform (Disturbance) Records are the »Fault Number« and the »Grid Fault Number«.
