Connect the external C311CT current transformer to terminal CT1 & CT2 of the D64RPBH13, using 14
AWG (minimum) twisted conductors. If a remote Test button is being used connect as shown in Figure
1.
CAUTION: Internally these terminals are connected to the FB terminal via a 2.5 V DC voltage
source, shunted with a 7 V transients suppressing zener diode. DO NOT connect the external
transformer to ground at any other point.

The D64RPBH13 is designed to operate with special Eaton’s Cutler-Hammer C311CT current
transformers having a turns ratio of 10,000:1. Each C311CT is epoxy molded for exceptional
mechanical properties and has a high-grade silicon iron core for excellent coupling characteristics.
C311CTs have built-in back-to-back zeners across the output terminals to provide maximum safety in
the event of an open CT secondary circuit.
