Inserting / Changing Batteries in the Remote Control
Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in the remote control and on
the batteries are clean, and clean them if necessary.
1. Slide open the battery compartment cover in the direction of the arrow and remove it.
2. Remove the used batteries if necessary and insert two new batteries (1.5 V,
AAA type). When replacing batteries, ensure the correct polarity (+ / –).
3. Place the battery compartment cover back on and slide it shut opposite to the direc-
tion of the arrow. You must feel it engage.
Replace the batteries when the power of the remote control starts to wane.
PLEASE NOTE!
Always replace all batteries together. Do not use batteries of different
types or brands, or batteries with different capacities.
Use
If the white light is still switched on, the colours of the colour modes are distorted.
To make the colours more intense,

rst switch off the light via the remote control
and then activate the colour mode you want (buttons

Switching on
– Press the wall switch to switch on the article. The LEDs start to light
up and the article is automatically in pairing mode, i. e. the article searches for a Blue-
tooth
®
-enabled audio source such as a smartphone, tablet, computer.

(off) buttons (

) on the remote control can be used to
switch the light on and off independently of the speaker function.
When the light is switched off, it can also be switched on via the buttons

).
2.
Connecting the article
– The coupling of the audio source to the article is controlled
via the audio source itself.
• The article is displayed to the audio source (menu Bluetooth
®
) as
BT-Deckenleuchte

.
• As soon as the article is coupled to the audio source, a beep is heard.
• If the audio source is decoupled, a sequence of tones is heard.
• The audio playback is controlled completely via the audio source (volume,
song selection etc.).
• Set the volume on your smartphone, tablet or laptop to low in order to pre-
vent possible hearing damage before any playback via the article. After that
the volume can be increased gradually to a pleasant level.
• The article can only be coupled to one audio source at any one time. If the
article is connected to an audio source, it is no longer visible to other terminal
devices.
• If an audio source has already been coupled to the article, this is connected
automatically when the article is switched on and the audio source is within
range.

– If the audio source is a smartphone, the noti

message is automatically played via the article. If the smartphone is set to

cation sound is heard via the article!
