1. The Easy Access locks is delivered from the factory so that they can
fit doors that turn to the right and to the left, regardless of whether
they turn in or out. Therefore, in some cases you have to reverse the
direction of impact on the lock case. This is done by unscrewing the
four small screws that hold the lock case. Remove the post and turn
the two lower tabs that may be pointing incorrectly. (the hook bolt
must not be turned). At the end of the assembly, you must also put
the handle on the correct path on both the outside and inside by using
the two screws and the included tool.
2. When putting the outer part on, the square pin has two arrows, which
both must point up when you thread it through the lock case and the
side of the square pin that is red should be up towards the top of the
lock.
3. The emergency keys have a slightly different operation than other key
systems. To unlock, insert the key and turn 90 degrees to one of the
sides, and when the key is horizontal you can open the door. To get the
key out again, turn it 90 degrees back, then you can pull it out again.
It is important to have good control of where the emergency keys are
located, and they should not be inside the home if you only have one
entrance.
4. You must use the included insulation between the outside and inside
part, otherwise it will be able to condense between the cold / hot side
and you can get moisture damage inside the door and in the lock. If
this happens, the warranty will lapse.
5. When you have finished assembling, it is important to go through the
checklist before closing the door.
