Place the empty or take-up reel

spindle snaps into position.
Thread the film on the reel, by holding the end of film against the core
and turning the take-up reel

fingers on the flanges of the reel prevent the film from slipping. Wind up
on the take-up reel any slack that there may be in the film between the
sprocket and reel core.
When the Kodascope is completely threaded, turn the knob
