Cleaning the coffee grounds container
When "EMPTY GROUNDS" is displayed, the ground con-
tainer must be emptied and cleaned. Until the ground
container has been cleaned, the appliance continues to
display "EMPTY GROUNDS" and coffee cannot be made. To
clean, extract the drip tray (A9), then also extract the
ground container to empty and clean it.
Empty the ground container and clean thoroughly to
remove all residues left on the bottom.
Important! If the drip tray is not emptied regularly,
the water could overflow from the edge and seep inside or
around the coffee maker. This could damage the appliance
and cabinet.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before performing any cleaning operations, leave the
machine to cool down completely and unplug from the
mains power supply. Never immerse the coffee maker in
water since it is an electrical appliance. Do not use solvents
or abrasive detergents to clean the coffee maker, a soft
damp cloth will suffice. Never wash any of the components
of the coffee maker in the dishwasher.

The following parts of the machine must be cleaned
regularly:
