SLOPE GUIDE
Sight and hold this guide level with a vertical
tree, a corner of a structure, a power line
pole, or a fence.
Use this guide to determine slope angle.
DO NOT MOW ON A SLOPE
GREATER THAN 20 DEGREES.
• A 10 degree slope is a hill that increases in height at
approximately 1.76 feet (53.6 cm) in 10 feet (304.5 cm).
• A 20 degree slope is a hill that increases in height at
approximately 3.64 feet (110.9 cm) in 10 feet (304.5 cm).
WARNING
USE EXTREME CARE AT ALL TIMES AND AVOID
SUDDEN TURNS OR MANEUVERS. FOLLOW OTHER
INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS MANUAL FOR SAFETY IN
MOWING ON SLOPES. OPERATE A MOWER UP AND
DOWN SLOPES, NEVER ACROSS SLOPES. USE EXTRA
CARE WHEN OPERATING ON OR NEAR SLOPES AND
OBSTRUCTIONS.
