If permanently installed, the luminaire must be installed by a competent
elecrician in accordance with the latest IEE Wiring Regulations.
The P647UA is designed to be mounted in a 19" rack, but may be used free-
standing if required.
Either plug the lead into a 13 A socket, or remove the 13 A plug fitted, and
wire directly to a fused spur or, if mounted in a rack, connect to a power
distrubution unit with the rack.
The wires are colour-coded as follows:
Brown = Live (phase)
Blue = Neutral
Green/Yellow = Earth
The P647UA must be earthed for safe and reliable operation.
In strong signal areas, attach the teolescopic antenna to the F-socket on the
rear panel, and extend the antenna. In lower signal areas, or if it is not
convenient to use the telescopic antenna, connect either an FM or a DAB
antenna to the F socket on the rear panel. Note that if the wrong type of
antenna is used, then reception will be poor.
Connect a lead from the RCA phono sockets on the rear panel to the input of a
power amplifier or mixer. Connect the the line level input of the mixer or
amplifier. Do not use the microphone input, or the turntable input (often
labelled “Phono”)
