Steering Shaft Inspection

 

Inspect the steering shaft for damage or cracks.

 

 

 

Installation of Steering Shaft

 

Apply grease to the holder.

 

Install the holder and oil seal tighten with the nuts.

 

Torque: 33 N.m (24 lbf-ft)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Install the steering shaft nut and tighten it.

 

This nut is under this steering shaft.

 

Torque: 50 N.m (37 lbf.ft) 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Installation of Tie-rod

 

Install the ball joint with “ L” mark on the steering 
shaft side.

 

Install the tie-rod with the mark on the wheel side.
