Organizing medication correctly, assigning dose times and determining what medications go

into each slot is the responsibility of you, your caregiver, and/or your health care provider.

Loading of Medications

Select the right Dosage Template (1 to 6X daily) based
on the patient’s dosing requirement. Secure the Dosage
Template  on  the  Medication  Tray  by  folding  four  tabs
down.  Using  the  template  as  a  guide,  place  pills  in
correct dosages in each compartment. Please make sure
that the number of alarms set (one up to a maximum of
six alarms) equals the dosage template chosen.

Note: The Tray Rotates Clockwise.

Fill  compartments  with  pills  using  the  dosage  template
as  a  guide  (1,  2,  3,  4,  5,  or  6  Dispensing  Events  per
day).

For example: if the patient takes meds 2 x per day
(morning and night) and you are loading the tray after
the morning dose.
The sequence should be (counter clock-wise): night –
morning – night – morning – night – morning – night
…… - morning (last one).

The first dose scheduled to be dispensed, after the
e-pill MedTime SAFE is filled and programmed, is
placed to the right of the lid opening. This dose of
medications will be made available to the patient, when
the next medication event (alarm) is scheduled.

When the lid is closed an empty compartment should be
seen in the opening (last dose taken by the patient,
which should be empty).

Medication Tray Frequency

1 medication time per day – refill tray every 28 days (= 4 weeks)

2 medication times per day – refill tray every 14 days (= 2 weeks)

3 medication times per day – refill tray every 9 days

4 medication times per day – refill tray every 7 days (= fill weekly)

5 medication times per day- refill tray every 5 days.
