MAINTENANCE AND SYSTEM MESSAGES
Battery Replacement
: When the battery gets low, the
LOWBATT
indicator
displays. Replace the batteries as soon as possible. Four (4) Alkaline AA batteries
are needed.
We recommend that you exchange the batteries at least once a
year
.
Cleaning
: Wipe Med-Time with a damp cloth. Wash the medication tray by hand
only.
Transporting:
If for any reason your e-pill Med-Time is going to be shipped or
mailed, it is important that you remove all batteries from the dispenser.
Problem Solving:
If your e-pill Med-Time XL is lying upside down, the next dose will
not be available until the unit is turned right side up. If the tray does not move as it
should, a signal sounds and
ERROR
is displayed. Investigate the reason. If the
device has been lying upside down during an alarm, a warning signal sounds. Press
Button 3 to shut off. Return the tray to the right position, and verify that programming
is correct.
ERROR Function:
The alarm sounds continuously in the event that the dispenser
fails to rotate properly. This might be caused by an obstruction between the body of
the dispenser and the tray. If this event occurs, the display shows
ERROR
. Open the
unit and remove any obstruction. Remove and replace one battery to clear and
reactivate your device.
Please note if e-pill Med-Time XL is lying upside down,
the next dose will not be available until the unit is turned right side up.
