HOW TO SELECT THE
CORRECT STIMULATION LEVEL
BarkLess BP-504 Manual
The lower the stimulation, the better. Always start with level 1 and
increase the level should your dog not respond appropriately.
Your dog should not vocalize when administered the corrective
stimulus. He may twist his head as if a bee was buzzing him.
Increase one level at time to prevent over stimulation. Some dogs
respond to the buzzer/tone mode after being conditioned with the
stimulation. If you are close to your dog you should hear the
buzzer/tone after your dog bark followed by the stimulation
sensation. Often more stubborn barkers need to have the mode
increased as they become accustomed to the sensation. Don’t
rush for change in behavior by turning it higher than necessary.
However, make it signficant enough to communicate barking is
not fun anymore.
