Please read the instruction manual thoroughly before using your new appliance. It is important
to keep these instructions as a useful reminder that’ll help you enjoy the many features
available. The manufacturer is not responsible if the appliance becomes damaged or defective
as a result of the user not following the information included in the instruction manual. If the
appliance becomes faulty during regular use, it should only be repaired by an authorised service
engineer.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
The following safety instructions must be followed when using the appliance. Please
read this section very carefully!
Of course, it’s not possible for us to anticipate or provide safety rules for every specific situation,
so we ask you to apply commonsense precautions when using the appliance in a situation that
isn’t described below.
•
This appliance is designed for household use only. It is not intended for heavy duty, catering
kitchen or other uses.
•
Never use the appliance outdoors.
Attention! Never put the hand mixer down during use or leave it unattended,
even briefly. After use, always turn the appliance off with the speed setting
switch, then unplug the power cord from the wall mains or extension cable
socket.
•
This device is not supposed to be used by physically or mentally handicapped people,
or persons without experience or knowledge (including children, as well), unless such a
person supervises or guides their use of the device, who is at the same time responsible for
their safety. As for children, supervision is recommended to make sure that they do not play
with the device. This device is not supposed to be used by children under the age of 14, not
even with supervision!

Only use the appliance on a stable, level surface. Keep it away from water and make sure it
cannot accidentally slip or fall. If the appliance comes into contact with any kind of moisture
or liquid during use, immediately unplug it from the mains. Do not touch it or attempt to
take it out of the liquid until the mains plug has been removed from the socket. You must not
use the appliance again before having it checked and repaired by a specialist engineer.
•
To avoid electric shock, never allow the hand mixer (which houses the motor) electric cord
or plug to be immersed in water or any other liquid.
•
Ensure that the appliance is adequately ventilated during use. As it is designed for
intermittent use, take care to observe the instructions for operation and pause periods.
Always ensure that the ventilation slots on the mixer are not obstructed.
•
Never use an appliance or accessory that the manufacturer did not supply with or propose
for use with the appliance. The use of such appliances might lead to accidents or irregular
function.
•
Never apply excessive pressure to the mixer controls or any other parts during use as this
could cause breakages. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any damage caused by
excessive pressure on the appliance.
•
Before inserting or removing the attachments, beaters or kneaders, switch off the hand
mixer and wait until the motor stops completely.
•
Never lay the mains cable beside or across sharp edges or hot surfaces. Never wrap the
mains cable around the cover of the appliance, do not pull the cable and do not lift the
appliance with the mains cable because the cable can break or the insulation can be
damaged. A damaged cable must be replaced by an authorised service engineer. The
appliance must not be used or connected to a wall socket if the cable is damaged.
•
Don’t put the appliance near hot objects (e.g. oven, hob, heating appliance etc.) or on any
hot surface.
Don’t place the appliance anywhere it could slide down, fall or be knocked off accidentally.
•
Do not touch the appliance with moist hands. Plug the connector of the appliance into the
mains with dry hands only, and check that the casing, power cord and connector of the
appliance as well as the mains socket are dry. Should any moisture get inside the casing of
