making coffee
1. Fill the coffee pot with fresh, cold water. Open the lid at the top of the water tank and use the pot to fill the
tank.
make sure the water level doesn’t exceed the maX level.
2. You can either use the reusable filter or disposable filter paper (size 1x4) to make coffee. When using filter
paper, remove the reusable filter from the holder. Form the filter paper into a funnel and place it carefully
inside the filter holder.
3. Put an appropriate amount of ground coffee in the filter, then close the lid of the water tank.
4. Put the coffee pot (with the lid closed) onto the hotplate.
5. Make sure the mains switch is off. Connect the appliance to the mains and switch it on. The red power light
will illuminate.
6. Hot water will start to flow into the filter after a short while.
7. Do not open the water tank lid when the coffee maker is switched on. If you want to pour coffee from the pot
before the filtering process is complete, simply remove the pot from the hotplate. The anti-drip mechanism
will stop coffee from falling onto the hotplate. Make sure you replace the pot within 30 seconds. The filtering
process will resume automatically when you replace the coffee pot.
8. Let all the water boil and filter through the ground coffee into the pot before switching the appliance off. The
amount of coffee produced will be slightly less than the amount of water you started with; this is because
some water evaporates and some is absorbed by the coffee in the filter.
9. The hotplate will keep the coffee pot at an appropriate temperature until the appliance is switched off. Coffee
tastes best when it’s fresh, so don’t let it stand too long. Never let the coffee pot dry out when it’s on the
hotplate.
attention! Never leave the appliance connected to the mains when it is unattended.
10. When you’ve finished using the coffee maker, turn off the power and remove the plug from the mains socket.
Always turn the mains power off when the appliance isn’t being used. Allow at least ten minutes of cooling
time before making any more coffee. Do not remove the filter or empty the coffee grounds until the appliance
has cooled down.
