Electrical Connections
Caution: Connect signal only to terminals B(+) & 2(–). Connect 8 to 40 Vdc power
to A(+) and 1(–). Remove the external jumper across terminals 1 and 2 if there is
some external dc path between signal and power, e.g., signal and power referenced
FOR INTRINSICALLY SAFE APPLICATIONS
Two CSA certified Zener barriers (not supplied by Dynalco) with the following
specifications are required. (Refer to drawing B8008843, other side of card).
Power Supply: A maximum voltage rating of +37 Vdc, an internal minimum
impedance of 874 ohms, and a maximum fuse rating of 160 milliamps.
Signal Input: A maximum voltage rating of +6, –6 Vdc, a minimum internal
impedance of 69 ohms, and a maximum fuse rating of 160 milliamps.
Calibration Instructions
Zero input always equals “0000” display with
power applied. With 1.000 mA input, adjust the
span adjust for desired reading. For readings
below 200, set up four digits and a decimal point
to achieve higher accuracy. Example: set up 0 to
150 as 0 to 1500 and add a decimal point to
achieve 0 to 150.0 with 0.1 increments. For
readings beyond 1999, add the fifth dummy zero.
• Calibration controls under plug (rear)
• Switches 1, 2, and 3 control decimal
points as shown
• Switch 4 adds a dummy zero (fifth digit,
fixed zero) to extend range beyond 1999
to 19990

Installation and Calibration Instructions
to the same dc supply, signal and power both
grounded, etc. Retain jumper if the signal is
isolated from the power, i.e. signal and power
from separate (isolated) supplies, only the power
is grounded, only the signal is grounded, etc.
